__utmz Used by Google Analytics to store the traffic source or campaign that explains how the user reached the site. The cookie is created when the Google Analytics JavaScript library executes and is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. This cookie is deleted after six months.
__ga Used by Google Analytics to distinguish users. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. This cookie is deleted 2 years after creation.
_gat Used by Google Analytics to throttle request rate. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. Deleted after 10 minutes.
pid Used by Twitter to track whether you are logged in to Twitter by saving a unique anonymous id for each website visitor. Enables tailored twitter suggestions. Not automatically deleted.
guest_id Used by Twitter to identify individual users who are not logged in to Twitter. Acts as a guest ID cookie. This cookie is deleted after two years.
